Local Teams Football Kit helps raise awareness of PDA

Jackie Richardson recently contacted us to share this fabulous story about how her son's football club are raising awareness of PDA in their area!

"My husband is the Manager of my older son's under 16's team, who are part of Navenby Junior Football Club. The team play in a League called 'The Mid Lincs League'. My 8 year old son has recently been diagnosed with ASD/Demand Avoidance. Because of this we wanted to raise awareness of PDA,  so thought it was a good idea to add something to the kit. We did some research, and eventually spoke to Julia Daunt, who works hard to spread PDA awareness. She has created some resources, and uses a purple Jigsaw piece with purple writing. We followed this theme and came up with the blue jigsaw piece and white writing, that would tie in with the kit. The final design looks great, and I felt really proud when the team wore the kit for the first time"

We think the team's new kit looks very smart, and what a great way to raise awareness.
