Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) is a complex Autism Spectrum Disorder that is characterized by an anxiety-driven need to be in control and avoid everyday demands. Children and adults with PDA require a different approach than is typically used with individuals with Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome.
