(Pilot) PDA – Helpful Approaches – a workshop for parents/carers
February 25 @ 9:30 am - 1:30 pm| £32.93
About this Event
The PDA Society is developing a new 4hr online workshop for parents and carers of children or young people with the PDA profile of autism. This workshop is designed to be interactive with lots of individual participation and smaller group discussion work.
In our first course (PDA for Parents/Carers) we explore different approaches to help manage demands – this workshop builds on this to share a variety of different approaches that families can use to build their own personal toolkits.
Delegates will be expected to have a good understanding of PDA prior to attending this session, as the workshop will not be covering the basics. If you haven’t already attended a PDA Society course, please look at the following video and webinars which will give you a good understanding before attending the workshop:
As this is a pilot course we’d like to ask all delegates to commit to answering our online feedback questionnaire after the workshop has ended.
Cost of PILOT workshop: £30 (excluding eventbrite fees), payable in advance. Only 30 places are available so please do book promptly if you’re interested. When booking your ticket please also let us know if you have any additional needs that may require assistance during the sessions, in order that we can discuss arrangements in advance. Thank you.
After booking, please remember to check your e-mail (messages may be forwarded to your spam/junk folder) for a confirmation receipt from Eventbrite sharing a link for registration. Eventbrite will also send reminders prior to the course taking place.
We recommend that you join the session 5-10min prior to the course starting to ensure your equipment is working correctly as we will be unable to delay the start. As this is an interactive workshop we will ask that your video feed is switched on, however to ensure delegate confidentiality no recordings will be made; this workshop is run as a ‘live’ event only.
Please note that The PDA Society run separate training events for professionals and educators, please contact us direct for further information.
If you have any questions about this course, or any other sessions, please e-mail our training team at: email@example.com
