Our courses are delivered by facilitators with valuable lived experience of PDA. They may be PDAers themselves, parents, carers, partners, family members or professionals working with PDA people. For any questions about the content of our training please contact: training@pdasociety.org.uk

Our CPD accredited courses are marked with the ‘CPD certified’ logo. Legislation and diagnostic approaches are relevant to England unless stated otherwise. Education programs are also available covering the Welsh education system on request.

PDA for Educators

April 30th & 7th May 2025, 3.30pm – 5.30pm BST (Online)

This CPD accredited course is aimed at expanding the knowledge of education professionals who work with and support learners with a PDA profile of autism.

What is PDA?

23rd May 2025, 10am – 12:30pm BST (Online)

This is an introductory course offering an overview of PDA and will consider what demands are and their effects, explore PDA demand avoidance, share approaches that might be beneficial, and signpost to additional resources.

Supporting PDA children (Education, health & social care)

June 10th 2025, 3.30pm – 5.15pm BST (Online)

This CPD accredited course is aimed at improving the knowledge of education, health & social care professionals who work with and support autistic children with a PDA profile of autism.

Supporting PDA young people & adults

June 13th 2025, 9:30am – 1pm BST (Online)

This CPD accredited course is aimed at social care professionals who work with and support PDA young people and adults, but may also be helpful for parents & carers of PDA young people and adults who would like to deepen their knowledge.

Supporting PDA children (social care)

June 18th and 25th 2025, 10am – 12:45pm BST (Online)

This CPD accredited course is primarily written for social workers, but will benefit all social care professionals and those working within the home environment with families supporting PDA children up to the age of 18yrs.

Supporting PDA adults (social care)

July 3rd 2025, 9:30am – 1pm BST (Online)

This CPD accredited course is aimed at expanding the knowledge of Professionals in Social Care and/or respite provisions, who work with and support PDA young people and adults. It is suitable for anyone working within adult residential settings or adult social care.

Q&A live events

Our online Q&A Live sessions invite guest speakers to answer questions about PDA and specific topics live via Zoom. The Q&As will be recorded and available for a small fee through our website 

Questions can be submitted at the time of booking and/or via the Zoom chat function on the night. It won’t be possible to answer specific questions about personal situations within these Q&A sessions. If you require support please contact our enquiry line.
