Support for PDA Research
We are committed to strengthening and building the research base around PDA to increase recognition and support for people with PDA. We provide guidance and support to researchers by providing networking opportunities with experts in the field, sharing surveys and research with our audiences, and facilitating co-created projects with PDA people.
Research isn’t only done by academics – very valuable information can also come through other routes including healthcare professionals, charities, independent research organisations, and government agencies. Having a diverse range of individuals and organisations involved in PDA research ensures that the research base is made up of a wide range of perspectives, leading to more effective and inclusive outcomes for PDA people.
We can offer researchers:
- Networking opportunities with other researchers in this area and with clinical and professional experts
- Updates on emerging & published research in this area
- Support in thinking about how to make your research as useful and accessible as possible
- Opportunities to reach the community we serve through dissemination of invitations to get involved in research
- Support with facilitating co-created projects with PDA individuals themselves.
What support we can offer will be dependent on our capacity and funding. We welcome you to get in touch with us at research@pdasociety.org.uk.
