Has anyone in Edinburgh Council area had any luck getting blue badge for PDA/mental health reasons? Have form but only focusses on physical difficulties. I thought mental health was going to be taken into account now too

I live in the Borders and unfortunately both their PIP assessments has been graded at Standard on Mobility . Infuriating .
We wrote to the then SNP Transport Minister at the time who was a total waste of space to be honest.
Apparently if you haven’t got the Higher Rate there is a procedure where they can get a Doctor to re assess your case and you MIGHT be allowed a Blue Badge that way .

Still very limited with the new “ Rules “ . Would defiantly try . To be honest I have a blue badge and we use that if my boys are with me but it would be helpful if they both had their own .

    Pat xx

Thank you. I've contacted Growcommunication now in the hope of getting a clearer diagnosis and some effective support. Maybe that will help with the Blue Badge application I'm going to persevere as I really think it would help him to know he could get in and out of places faster xx
