CAMHS referral

Hi all. The school SENCO is doing a CAMHS referral but is worried what criteria to highlight to ensure it is not rejected. Any advice on what strengths and difficulties to highlight to get them to accept an ASD referral? She scored 66 with me and 57 from her teacher on the EDA questionnaire and we all believe a diagnosis is now required as previous interventions are not working.
I have read the guidance on here and will follow the NICE guidance too but just looking for any other advice from anyone who got referred and a diagnosis x

    Hi,
I neither have a formal diagnosis or was given an out of area referral . Long story .

    Have you seen this ?

Another suggestion . Why don’t you do the pre assesment through Help4Psychology at Norwich . It’s costs about £95 and gives you a very basic report . Lots of form filling including the EDA questionnaire plus a section which can be done on Skype .. At least this way you will know if you are heading in the right direction .
