Private PDA diagnosis query

Our son is 12 & attending CAMHS. He has all the traits of PDA, but CAMHS have said they will not and do not diagnose. He suffers from extremely high anxiety and so far CAMHS have not offered much help. I feel like it’s dragging on and on. Our first referral was declined and we had to get school to support our request for him to be seen. He’s been attending since last Oct & is getting worse daily. He starts Secondary school soon and we are really worried as to how he will cope. The Secondary school have offered home link and transition visits etc, so they are helping. But in the long term we want him to get a diagnosis & support to help him. He’s got self esteem issues & has said more than once he wants to kill himself, which CAMHS are aware of. He is definitely PDA, this thing is, how do we get it diagnosed if they do not diagnose it? We are in West of Scotland. Any help would be great.
