Influencing and advocacy

On this page you will see opportunities to get involved in consultations which are shaping policy reforms which affect our PDA community, as well as ways in which you can advocate for your child or yourself.

Organizations we partner with

This page has been created to help you use your experiences to build an understanding of PDA in decision makers, and to develop trusting relationships so you can help them ensure that any new legislation around SEND considers and makes best efforts to meet the needs of our children.

Families have told us they’re being told that a diagnosis received through a Right to Choose provider won’t be accepted by the NHS.  Right to Choose providers are commissioned by the NHS, and the assessments they deliver are NHS-funded and NHS-approved.
