Safe PDA Practice Panel

The PDA Society is volunteering to coordinate a community panel made up of representatives of the PDA community. The purpose of the Safe PDA Practice Panel is to come together as a community and create some helpful resources for everyone in the community, those who work with professionals and advocates, and for professionals and advocates themselves about how we can all play our part in making our community safer.

The panel

The panel will be made up of safeguarding specialists and lived experience specialists and community members who would like to put themselves forward for the panel are invited to express an interest. The panel member roles are unpaid and are not volunteering for PDA Society.

We are also asking for a volunteer to take on secretariat duties for the panel, this role will be volunteering for PDA Society as we have committed to administrating and supporting the panel’s activity until December 2023. The secretariat role is important in supporting admin and communication between members in a neutral unbiased way, ensuring that minutes reflect all discussion in meetings and supporting drafting of resources that reflect what the panel hope to achieve.

Expressions of interest for panel members and panel secretary have now closed.

If you have any questions, please email admin@pdasociety.org.uk and we will aim to reply within 3 to 5 working days.

Thank you.
