Grandmother Jenny Steele is preparing for an epic challenge in September – walking 60 miles of Hadrian’s Wall to raise money for PDA Society.
At 75 years old this is an amazing feat that Jenny will be taking on, with her Cockapoo Dippy walking beside her each day.
Beginning her challenge on 9 September, Jenny is aiming to walk around 6 miles a day. She’s chosen to support PDA Society as her family have found the information and resources we provide to be hugely useful in their own learning about PDA following her grandson Toby’s diagnosis.
Jenny explained “It’s been a hugely challenging time for my family and we have all been absolutely desperate to help Toby and understand PDA more. Finding the PDA Society and the specialist information you provide has been so vital. For such a small charity trying to help so many people, I wanted to do something to help you provide the same invaluable help we got to other families.”
Jenny has already raised an incredible £2105 (at time of writing) which will allow us to provide in-depth support including multiple contacts to 19 families but we would love to help her in pushing this total even higher.
If you can support Jenny and donate then please visit her fundraising page.
As a small charity, fundraising efforts like this are hugely important to us. Without it, we won’t be able to provide the help and support that so many families need. If you’d consider raising money for us or even just giving a monthly donation then please take a look at our donate pages to find out more.
