Dundee & Angus advice & activities groups

Autism/ADHD Advice Group Dundee & Angus Facebook group (includes families with PDA children).  I’ve started this group as I feel that myself and the other members have a lot of experience, knowledge and hints/tips that we can share. It’s also just good to know that there’s someone else who understands even if things can’t be changed. You can ask for information, advice and support from the other members or message me if you want personal advice, support and help. I also run a Facebook group for parents/carers to post organised activities such as council holiday programmes but also to give them an opportunity to post/organise informal meets up and activities. Thanks Arlene.   Visit advice group   Visit activities group

Early Intervention – Aberdeen

Early Intervention Aberdeen provides support and guidance to parents/carers of neurodivergent children, including PDA. Please visit our website www.earlyintervention.org.uk for resources and more information about our forthcoming events, including regular weekly children & parent activity sessions and school holiday activities. In addition, we would love to hear directly from you via FB messenger or you can email info@earlyintervention.org.uk.     Please note: this support group is independent and external to the PDA Society. They are a member of our support group leaders’ network and recognise, understand, and support PDA and the work we do by sharing up-to-date information and resources from the PDA Society, and as such have permission to use our PDA support group leaders' network logo, but we don’t have any control over (and cannot take responsibility for) the support or services offered.   Last updated: March 2023

Spectrum Life Scotland

Additional Support Needs online support group including, ASD, ADHD, ODD, PDA, Dyslexia, SPD, Anxiety... Many parent carers feel that their children don't fit neatly into that diagnostic criteria! The Spectrum of conditions are so varied, every child is different. Your child may have been diagnosed with a few conditions, or with co-morbid conditions, or learning difficulties. This can often lead to a feeling of isolation, as the strategies that work for one 'disorder' may not necessarily work for your child, if there are other factors to take into consideration! This group was set up, to help each other through both the difficult times & the successful moments. This is predominantly a group for Scotland, due to the differences in legislation, but we welcome everyone in the UK on a support basis.   Private Facebook group   Public Facebook page

PDA Scotland

A closed parent run local group for parents/carers /relatives of PDA children in Scotland and for people with PDA. Professionals will also be welcome. Concerns/questions and venting can take place here. PDA diagnosis appears to be a postcode lottery and posts tend to get lost in the bigger groups as awareness grows (as well as Scotland having its own Education/Healthcare system) therefore it was felt a more local group would be beneficial. We have also set up a public page designed to raise public awareness, please join and share the public page to help us in our mission to put PDA on the map in Scotland.   Join Facebook group Visit Facebook page
